Dis 63.8 miles, Av 16.4 mph, Mx 35.2 mph, Tm 3 hr 52 min, Oat 5 hr 50 min, Rise 3:15AM, Clean & oil gear chain 7:00-7:30AM in KC camp (due to yesterday’s rain/bussing negating usual end of ride oil), Lv KC 7:30 AM, Arv PR 1:20PM (Sunny, warm, some cool wind)

A great day. Used my new ‘flying’ 10 cog gear, tailwinds helped push things along, long descent after QUADBUSTER and on into high valley…BBQ hamburgers for lunch in Bradley,CA. Was handed Zachary’s letter (of Las Lomitas Elementary School, Atherton, CA.) upon arrival at Paso Robles camp.

At Paso Robles camp, incoming cyclists were offered letters from Los Lomitas Elementary School students.

Whatever they do with the school fundraiser money from the BBQ, it seems to work well in Automotive Shop Class, judging from No.6, at the \’gas station/welding shop\’!
